I can not possibly say how much I admire this couple. I recentlly had the honor of photographing their 32 year anniversary portrait session! We could not have asked for a more quintessential autmnal afternoon infusing the canvas with so many beautiful colors. It is encouraging to see this kind of love with the longevity, to withstand this anything life throws one's way, and the passion to relish and truly make every day an adventure. Dustin and I were very honored to spend this day with you and to be able to capture this special anniversary admist such a beautiful landscape.
From the beautiful bride Tamara : Mike and I started dating 32 years ago. We had an instant bond. We married 10-12-85. We are blessed with 2 wonderful daughters, Sarah and Rachel. They are our greatest achievements to date! Sarah recently married Sam, so now we have added a son. Mike and I truly enjoy life. We fill each day with love and live it to the fullest, always remembering it is a gift form God. Our family is fun loving and always full of antics, especially during the holiday seasons. We really like to plan our crazy Thanksgiving escapades and our zany Christmas cards. Here we are 30 years later, best frineds, madly in love, and happy. Who could ask for more?
Ring story: The center diamond of the ring was 1 of a pair of earrings that were given to the wife of a prominent Civil War Captain in my hometown upon their anniversary. Upon his wife’s death, he gave the earrings to my Great, Great Aunt. She had been their housekeeper for many years. Upon her death they were given to my Mother. She gave them to my Aunt for safe keeping. My Aunt had the earrings made into his and her rings. My Aunt told me the earrings, now rings, were always meant to be mine “when the time was right. It’s what your Mother wanted”. The time is now right. We couldn’t be more pleased. My mother passed away when I was 18 years old. This is like having a part of her with me.
