When I found out we were going to have the opportunity to photograph my friend David's sister Julianna I was more than excited! We were able to hang out with her parents and her sister at an absolutely stunning location, rich with history and vibrant with delicious autumnal tones and vantage points! What an incredible afternoon!  Stonebridge Manor sits nestled in the 800 acre landscape of Ravenna Ohio, with two secret passageways once reportedly used in the underground railroad system of the mid-1800's and a 50,000 square-foot Victorian-style barn, the property is breathtaking. Over the last century the estate has entertained many U.S. leaders, and is listed on the National Register of Historic places. Also known as Cottage Hill, the manor was used as a summer retreat by the Cleveland coal and iron industrialist, Daniel P. Rhodes, who bought the property in 1860. Exploring the grounds evoked the sensation of being in a literary novel. Imaging what it must have been like to be watching from a distance during a glamorous 1920's party, with music playing from the pianist and like flickering lights from the grand house. Or entering the sitting room with the skylight over head casting light onto the plants, fountain, and ornate bird cage - a kin to a scene from Great Expectations!  Julianna, you are not only stunning but so much fun to be around! You brought the mansion to life with your portraits. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you and your amazing family, thank you so very much for a wonderful session!

From Julianna:

"My time at Stow High School as been unforgettable and I am excited to see what the rest of the year holds for me. Friends and family are extremely important to me and without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I’m part of a large family, having four brothers and one sister, and each one of them is important to me in their own unique way. As this is my 15th year dancing, all of my dance friends at All About Dance by Kristen, who are now my second family, have helped shape me and have made my time at the studio even more delightful. I am a part of journalism, the National Honor Society, and volunteer in the Writing Center. I plan to double major in math and biology and minor in Spanish, while eventually earning my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in epidemiology. "
